'Art of Aeons' focuses on vibrant and colourful abstract paintings from Australian Indigenous artists. Each work shows the strong connection to landscape and place that forms the core of much Australian Aboriginal art. The concept of 'country' is central to all of these artists. As Jane Raffan put it in 'Power and Colour' -
"Country … is not only a common noun but a proper noun. People talk about country in the same way they would talk about a person; they speak to country, sing to country, visit country, feel sorry for country and long for country. People say that country knows, hears, smells, takes notice, takes care, is sorry or happy."
