In 2015 Rusty Peters and his sisters son, Ralph Juli, visited their ancestral Country, Yariny. They travelled to Yeriny in a helicopter. Travelling this way allowed Rusty to see his country from above. Rusty speaks vividly about this experience explaining that there was no door on the helicopter and how much he enjoyed seeing his Country. Rusty took particular notice of the clouds, as evident in this artwork.
Rusty reflects on this experience, "looking down, before we bin land on that flat rock, we bin circle around that Country. (We were) on top of the cloud. All the clouds coming together getting ready for rain. Circling looking for the good place to land." As he speaks Rusty holds out his long arm and makes subtle movements with his fingers. "Lots of jamerndel (ant beds) there. You can't drive through there, too many ant hill. Good place. We use to go through there for mustering. Beautiful Country that."
